In particular:
Are you a teacher?
Which country/region are you from?
How long have you been reading the Scenes From the Battleground Blog?
Are there any other blogs you'd like to recommend?

 | Hiya, fat-tony here.
I teach in a Comprehensive school. It's located in one of the most rundown areas of an inner city, though as it's a faith school it is actually the top performing state school in the city.

 | Hello! I'm Miss B Have. You can call me Miss if you like, I need to get used to it anyway.
I'm not a teacher, yet, and I'm starting the dreaded PGCE up north in September.
I've been reading this blog for a few months, pretty much as long as I've been writing my own.

 | Hi Oldandrew,
Aus_Andrew here. I teach in Australia. I've taugh for just over a decade, and I've been reading Scenes since I first found it through TES forums - I was most disappointed when it disappeared from the old site.

 | I'm named after a doll shop in Amsterdam, for tax reasons. I use to hand out spades at my parties in east Berlin. I was also in the t-shirt business, at some point the STASI came around, and told me I had been promoted in status from homosexual subversive to 'dangerous artist'. It was like getting a Doctorate of Philosophy in bring your own shovel parties.
I also fit in rather nicely into the decaying world of nu-labor, the DDR trained me to know that, the state, can be an exercise in futile gestures stumbling towards solutions, that are ungraspable.
The wall coming down? I miss the beer, I miss the silly cars, I wasn't rescued by the west, it is like detox, I wasn't able to crawl fast enough to evade the ambulance.
I now do seminars about being Queer in places that use to take you into the forest or send you to Siberia for having a sense of humor.

 | Hello,
I am a teacher. I teach at a small state school in the South West of England.
I've been reading Scenes from the battleground for about two years and it was a real help during the darker days of my PGCE course.
I also like to read Frank Chalk and Inspector Gadget.
