These are "SCENES" from the battlefield, barries, not cures for them.

There is no cure available to us, nor any treatment. No change could reasonably be expected for at least two generations after Chantel, and only then if children were restored wholesale to their proper place in society and financial encouragement to breed withdrawn from their unfit parents.

so when are you going to start giving the solutions to these problems then?

I too have a number of Chantels in year 10.

I hate them. I hate the lessons they are in. I wish they would drop down a local tin mine on the way home ( they say Cornish mines are many thousands of feet deep and you decend to emerge in Australia.

No other teacher will admit having a problem with them , although from time to time there are on report, in the " naughty book" etc. when some newbie who hasnt learned the rules yet, does something about her ( or rather tries)

I also have the poor SMT.

I am as you say, puh fetick

So, instead of just describing it here, maybe you could give us the benefit of your years and wisdom and suggest a few strategies?

That's a perfect description of one of my year tens, or perhaps six or seven of them.

If you're right about using Chantels to test school perhaps they're actually OFSTED inspectors in disguise.

Deffo recognise this type but do note that some modification of her behaviour has occurred since she appeared in our school ( having been ousted from the previous one to us); ergo our school is a 'good school' and am much relieved to discover this to be proven -as both my own children are also attending the school where I teach.
My own relationship with said charmer can be read on INFET on the thread 'my world and welcome to it'.

If I were still teaching I would find your blog depressing in the extreme. All I do now though is use all those tips (non-monetary) I picked up as a student barmaid to liosten sympathetically to the poor sods who have to deal with this for five hours a day and spend the next five writing it up and justifying themselves.

"text message her mother in lessons"

Ah I wondered when we'd get to the mother. I shall reserve my opinion on the marital status of this woman and the success of her relationship with Chantel's father, upon whom we are told Chantel will base her future expectations of men.

At least 10% of the girls in my school are Chantel. It varies with the teaching group of course, so in some classes the Chantel coefficient reaches 90%.
